Softstuf,
founded in 1991, is a Philadelphia based corporation that specializes in
the design of advanced analysis systems for measuring performance of large electrical
power systems during fault and disturbance conditions. Softstuf is the home of the
Wavewin® software and the Sniffer data acquisition tools.

Softstuf offers 3 types of Wavewin training classes, fault analysis, data collection &
data acquisition. Classes can be held on-site or at our Philadelphia training facility.
Each class is a full day and includes a Course Notebook for each student. We suggest a maximum of
15 students per class. For more than 15 students please schedule 2 or more days. Classes held at
our Philadelphia location also includes lunch. Below is a short descitption on each class offered.

Fault Analysis - Wavewin 101
The main objective of this class is to provide an understanding of the
basic Wavewin data analysis features and how to use them.
The highlighted features will include scaling and shifting
cycles, synchronizing multiple data records, appending and merging channels,
calculating envelops, sequence components, harmonics, and fault impedances,
generating sequence of event summaries, and saving results.

Data Collection - Wavewin 102
The main objective of the training class is to provide an understanding of the
basic Wavewin data collection features and how to use them.
The highlighted features will include, but are not limited to, addressing various
types of networks, topologies and protocols, working with telephone and port
switchers, configuring data concentrators and master stations, reporting by
exception and/or upon demand, and also managing remote access, security and
the massive amounts of collected data.

Data Acquisition - Wavewin 103
The main objective of the training class is to provide an understanding of the
basic Wavewin data acquisition features and how to use them.
The highlighted features will cover operational and maintenance issues including,
but not limited to, installing hardware and software components, configuring and
calibrating sensors, setting instantaneous triggers, recording in continuous and/or
periodic mode, managing and analyzing massive amount of captured data, and
interfacing with corporate databases.
